Communique: Ministry of Agro- Industry and Food Security

Temporary Closure – Nature Parks, Forest Reserves, Nature Trails and Leisure ParksThe Ministry of Agro- Industry and Food Security wishes to inform the public that, in line with the General Notice 512 of 2021 extending the Temporary Restrictions of Movement Order 2021, the following nature parks, leisure parks, islets national parks, forest reserves and nature trails which fall under the aegis of this Ministry will be closed until 30 April 2021:

• Black River Gorges National Park;

• Bras D’Eau National Park;

• Rivulet Terre Rouge Estuary Bird Sanctuary;

• Ile D’Ambre National Park;

• Ile aux Fouquets Islet National Park ;

• Ile aux Flammants National Park ;

• Ile aux Oiseaux Islet National Park ;

• Mon Vert Nature Walk, Forest Side;

• Sophie Nature Walk, Plaines Sophie (near Mare aux Vacoas) ;

• Powder Mills Nature Walk (near SSRN Hospital);

• Vallee d’Osterlog Endemic Garden;

• Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden; and

• Splash and Fun Leisure Park, Belle Mare.

The Ministry regrets for any inconveniences that this temporary closure may cause and will issue another communique to inform of any reopening in due course.
