Subject: Applications for vacancies of mandate holders to be appointed at the 48th session of the Human Rights Council
The Secretariat of the Human Rights Council presents its compliments to all Permanent Missions to the United Nations Office at Geneva, international organizations or their offices, national institutions, non-governmental organizations and other human rights bodies, and has the honour to inform them that the following mandate holders are to be appointed at the forty-eighth session of the Council (13 September to 1 October 2021):
- Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights (Human Rights Council resolution 46/9)
- Working Group on the issue of human rights and transnational corporations and other business enterprises, member from Latin American and Caribbean States (Human Rights Council resolution 44/15)
Individual applications, including a motivation letter, must be submitted and received by 11 June 2021 at 12 noon Geneva time through the on-line application procedure, which consists of (1) an online survey and (2) an application form in Word format. Updated information on the selection and appointment procedure, as well as the call for applications in the six United Nations official languages, are available at the following web page:
