The public is hereby informed that major works in the context of the Metro Express Project will be carried out along Swami Sivananda Avenue between its junctions with Floreal Road and Sadally Road as from Saturday 12 June 2021.
Accordingly, Swami Sivananda Avenue between the two junctions will be closed to traffic. Traffic will be diverted along Floreal Road (B5) onto Dairy Lane to join Swami Sivananda Avenue.
The existing bus stop near junction of Dairy Lane and Floreal Road B5 (for northbound buses) will be relocated some 200 m in a forward direction (opposite “Your Shopping Point”) for the duration of works.
Traffic signs will be set up to inform and guide road users on the approach to the works area. Traffic will also be controlled by the Police during rush hours.
Drivers are strongly advised to exercise caution when approaching the works area and to drive within the prevailing speed limit.
The Ministry regrets for any inconvenience caused and relies on the usual collaboration and cooperation of the public.
