Following an alleged case of medical negligence at SSRN Hospital regarding a stillbirth on 12 April 2021, a departmental enquiry was carried out by the Regional Health Director of the hospital and the findings of the enquiry have been forwarded to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
It has been decided to refer the case to the Medical Negligence Standing Committee, which is an independent body, for further enquiry.
